Sylhet Surma Sixers have bolstered their squad by roping in Aussie leg spinner Adam Zampa into their ranks. The services of the young cricketer are sure to boost the team’s morale in the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. The news was announced on the team’s official Facebook page. They welcomed the 25-year old into their family as they announced the signing.

Speaking about the foreign firepower in the squad, the Sixers already have three Englishmen in the name of Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan and Liam Dawson. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson will also be a part of the team and will be a key factor in their campaign. Batting all-rounder Sabbir Rahman who is known for his destructive approach is the icon of the side for this year’s BPL which is set to commence from the month of November.

Career:

Adam Zampa who has featured in the Indian Premier League for the Rising Pune Supergiants went to the final of the tournament earlier this year. Unfortunately, the tournament did not end on a high note for the youngster as the Pune based team lost the finals to the Mumbai Indians. However, he picked up 7 wickets in the 7 games he featured for the Supergiants.

Zampa’s T20 experience does not remain limited to that as he has also played in the Caribbean Premier League.  He has previously donned the jersey of the Guyana Amazon Warriors. But, this will be the first time Zampa will be testing himself in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Zampa has 81 wickets in his T20 career so far, in which he has played 66 matches. His economy rate lies at a decent 7.04, which is not too bad considering the T20 format. His career best came in the Indian Premier League when he picked up 6 wickets against the Sunrisers Hyderabad giving away just 19 runs.
