Chris Gayle will turn 41 years old in another month’s time but he still remains one of the most dangerous batsmen in the shortest format of the game. If there had to be one batsman, who could be the ambassador for T20s, it would be the Universe Boss. He has scored over 13,000 runs in all of T20 cricket which is just astonishing. He has scored 22 centuries in his T20 career, which is 7 more than Kohli, Raina, Rohit, Dhawan and Dhoni combined.

After conquering the Bangalore crowds at the Chinnaswamy stadium, the left-handed opener made a quiet move to Kings XI Punjab in 2018 and made instant impact with another strong season that included a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has scored 858 runs across the last 2 years for KXIP. His average of 40.85 and strike rate of 150.26 indicate that he still has a lot of cricket left in him.

Chris Gayle is 6th on the all-time list of run-scorers in the IPL with 4484 runs. He holds the records for most number of centuries (6), most number of sixes (326) and highest individual score (175*). He will surely go down as a legend for Royal Challengers Bangalore but his contributions for Kings XI Punjab at the tail end of his career shouldn’t go unnoticed.
