Amitabh Bachchan feels honoured after meeting the Indian cricketers

Amitabh Bachchan the Shahenshah of Indian cinema was thrilled to meet Indian cricketers in Mumbai on two occasions recently. The actor’s never-ending love for cricket is known to most, he is often spotted cheering for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and for Team India in international matches.

The 75-year-old actor loves to remain connected with the sport, he also had a short commentary stint during the 2015 World Cup held in Australia. Time and time again the veteran actor heaps praise for Indian cricketers on Twitter and even defends them in bad times. Mr Bachchan is a die-hard cricket fan.

Meeting the cricketers

The cricketers and the actor share a common warmth for each other and the respect. Earlier this week, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma hosted their wedding reception at the St.Regis Hotel in Mumbai. The guest list included players of the Indian side and Bollywood A-listers. While people were busy enjoying the party Mr Bachchan was met the cricketers and had a chat.

A day later Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya hosted his wedding in Mumbai which also gave the veteran actor another opportunity to share the space with the cricketers.

Mr Bachchan always comes up with interesting tweets about the performance of the Indian side and he is also a huge fan of the Pandya brothers. Hardik Pandya recalls an incident from the Indian Premier League, Hardik stated about the time when Mr Bachchan himself came to him in a post-match party and how he was awestruck for a moment.

Hardik who himself is a huge fan of the veteran actor shared this incident while interacting with famous anchor Gaurav Kapur on his show ‘Breakfast With Champions’. The Shahenshah was honoured to meet the cricketers and his series of tweets stated that.
