Anil Kumble engages Zaheer Khan to wrong Sagarika

Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan made his relationship with Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge official on the social media recently. Over the last few months, the love birds were often spotted together. However, they refused to comment on their relationship. Now, that the two have announced their engagement, the good wishes have come in flooding for the new celebrity couple.

Team India head coach Anil Kumble is one of the many people who took to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate the couple. The intention of Kumble was certainly very noble and sweet. But little did he know that he would end up messing the congratulatory tweet in a hilarious way. Anil Kumble tagged the wrong Sagarika in his tweet for Zaheer Khan. Funnily enough, he ended up tagging Sagarika Ghose, the popular journalist, and broadcaster.

In his tweet, the Indian team coach wrote, “Congratulations @ImZaheer and @sagarikaghose ! Wishing you the very best!”.

Well, the former Indian leg-spinner was quick to realize the blunder he had made on the social media. He quickly deleted his tweet but the news of him tagging the wrong lady had already gone viral.

Earlier in the day, former cricketer Zaheer Khan had officially announced the news of his engagement to Sagarika Ghatge on Twitter. He had shared a picture with her with a caption making the official announcement. He wrote, “Never laugh at your wife’s choices. You are one of them!!! Partners for life.”

The lady has often been seen with Zaheer. She had accompanied him to the wedding ceremonies of Yuvraj Singh last year. Also, she has been spotted in the IPL matches of Delhi Daredevils this season. Zaheer is currently leading the Delhi Daredevils in the ongoing edition of the tournament.

Talking about his lady love, Sagarika is a Bollywood actress best remembered for her role of Preeti Sabharwal in the movie Chak de! India. Interestingly, she dated a cricketer in the movie as well.
