Dinesh Chandimal leading Sri Lanka today since Angelo Mathews isn’t fit. Chandimal said: “Mathews has a calf strain, unfortunately he misses out. We had some chat last night and we want to come back strongly, we are looking forward to it. We have made only one change, Angelo is out and Dickwella comes in for him.”
Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi said: “We will be bowling first. If you compare with the last game, the pitch looks similar. There will be dew later so we are bowling first. It is not easy to recover from the loss in the last game, but you cannot live in the past. At least, this victory is important before the World Cup (World T20). We have made three changes. Anwar Ali, Khurram Manzoor and Mohammad Sami are resting, Mohammad Nawaz, Wahab Riaz and Iftikhar Ahmed are playing.”
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first in the Asia Cup T20 match against Sri Lanka
Matthew Hayden in the pitch report said: “The wicket looks very, very good. Just a little batter friendly. There’s some rolled-in grass, but the spinners might come into play. I am not sure if you would want to bat first on this wicket,”
