Athiya Shetty’s comment on KL Rahul’s Instagram post is relationship goals

KL Rahul is currently the toss of the nation thanks to his amazing run making stint for the Indian team off late. He took over the opening spot in absence of Shikhar Dhawan and formed a terrific combination with Rohit Sharma at the top. He made 91, 102, 77 against West Indies in the limited-overs series and 54 and 45 against Sri Lanka in the T20I format.

Apart from that, the team management has decided to continue with him in the team, even demoting Virat Kohli in the batting position to no.4 in order to let Rahul bat at no.3, when Shikhar Dhawan came back into the team. Now the Karnataka lad has taken up gloves as well behind the stumps when Rishabh Pant was ruled out with a concussion and stroked a brilliant 80 odd runs in the second match which Indian team won easily, to equalize the series.

Off the field as well, KL Rahul has been quite involved with Bollywood starlets with tabloids often linking him with many actresses in the past including the likes of Niddhi Agerwal and Athiya Shetty. However, his linkup with Athiya, who is the daughter of Bollywood bigwig Suniel Shetty, is somewhat considered to be serious. Both have been often seen commenting on one another’s social media posts and even father Suniel has approved of his daughter’s choice.

Recently, the Indian opener-cum- wicketkeeper posted a couple of photos on his Instagram account from India’s T20I series win over Sri Lanka. Rahul had opened with Shikhar Dhawan and the duo took the Lankan bowlers to cleaners, as India won the series 2-0 with the first match being rained out. Rahul cemented his position in the Men in Blue playing XI with his adaptability and now that he has started keeping wickets as well, he has opened up space in the team.

Meanwhile, his post on Instagram received quite a lot of likes and comments, but the most important comment came from his alleged girlfriend, Athiya Shetty, who commented with a heart emoji.
