The 1st of the three-match T20I series between Australia and India will be played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

This match will start at 1:40 PM IST (7:10 PM local). It will be live on Sony Ten 1 HD and Sony Ten 3 HD. Live streaming will be available on Sony LIV.

After a hard-fought ODI series which Australia won, the two teams will lock horns in the T20Is. The first of the three-match T20I series is set to be played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra where the final ODI was played. India will be confident of doing well after a scintillating 13-run victory. Almost all of their players in the T20I squad were busy featuring in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and shifting from 50 overs to 20 overs shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Like India, even Australia players were busy in the IPL and rather some of them played the ODIs like T20s itself. Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell‘s strike-rate in the ODI series were superb and those are ominous signs for India. The hosts will hope to start the tussle in the shortest format on a winning note. But they will miss the services of David Warner (injured) and Pat Cummins (rested).

Marcus Stoinis was injured in the first ODI and didn’t play further part in the series. He is with the team but there is no update on his fitness.

Mitchell Starc also suffered injury ahead of the 3rd ODI. Though Aaron Finch was confident of the pacer getting fit in time, it is unlikely that Australia will risk him ahead of the Test series.
