Preview for Dream11 Fantasy

The caravan of the Zimbabwe tour of Bangladesh moves to the second ODI where the visitors will hope to shrug off what was a wretched performance in the first game and stage a comeback in the three-match series.

Zimbabwe was absolutely hammered in the first ODI in Sylhet where their bowlers’ inability to make incisive inroads and their batsman lack of sizeable contributions condemned them to a 169-run shellacking.

Liton Das whirlwind hundred [126 off 105 balls] set things up for Bangladesh in the first game. The wicketkeeper-batsman stroked 13 fours and 2 sixes before he retired hurt after getting hit on the helmet. But a half-century from Mohammad Mithun along with handy contributions from Mahmudullah [32] and Mohammad Saifuddin [28* off 15 balls] ensured that the Asian Tigers posted 6/321 after 50 overs.

Zimbabwe was without their experienced duo of Sean Williams and Craig Ervine in the last match. While Ervine is recovering from injury, Sean Williams arrived late should be available for the second game.

Weather Condition/Report

Another bright sunny day is expected to be the order of the day in Sylhet on Tuesday if the weather reports are to be believed. According to the report, the temperature is set to fluctuate between 18-30 degrees Celsius while the humidity is set to hover around 69%. Chances of rain- 10℅

Top Picks

Bangladesh: If Liton Das does not feature in the second game, the onus of leading the batting unit will be on the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmudullah- all of whom got starts but couldn’t convert it into a big score. Mohammad Mithun scored a whirlwind 50 in the last game and he will be key in his role as a finisher. As far as bowling is concerned, Mohammad Saifuddin [3-22], Mashrafee Mortaza [2/35] and Mehidy Hasan [2/33] will once again be the key.

Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe will hope that their senior players in Brendon Taylor and the comeback man Sean Williams spearhead their batting unit which barring debutant Wesley Madhevere [35] looked listless in the first ODI. As far as bowling is concerned, Chris Mpofu [2/68], Wesley Madhevere [1/48] and Donald Tiripano [1/56] will be the key.
