Indian allrounder Yuvraj Singh is all set to get married to fiancé and Bollywood actress Hazel Keech tomorrow (November 30). It is expected to be a high key affair with cricketers as well as Bollywood celebrities on the invitation list. Most of the Indian players will be present at the wedding but at the same time, it is also being reported that no one from the touring England team has been invited.
One player who would have made the celebrations interesting is Stuart Broad. In the most famous face of between the duo, the English pacer was carted away for six sixes in the World Cup 2007 match by the left-hander which not only won India the match but also helped Yuvraj record the fastest fifty in T20I cricket a record that to date remains with him. Though he hasn’t been invited England fan group Barmy Army does wish he was on the guest list as the sight of Broad dancing with Yuvraj would have been an exciting one.
The Barmy Army is also in India, traveling around with the team and when asked about it, their tour manager Andy Thompson was quoted by Hindustan Times saying, “Oh, we all loved the way Yuvraj batted and who can forget those six sixes he hit off our lad Stuart Broad in World T-20 (2007). Congratulations to Yuvi and his bride but how we wish he had given us invites as well. Maybe, he has sent us and they are still in the mail box!”
“We won’t be getting access to the wedding celebrations but I guess the England team might go to the pre-wedding function as the teams are staying in the same hotel. It would be exciting to see Stuart dancing with Yuvi and his wife in that function,” Andy said.
