Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades will face off in the BBL on Wednesday at the renowned Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in the reverse fixture. The Sixers had three wins from four matches before they failed to defend a big total against the Perth Scorchers in the last match. The Renegades suffered a huge 101-run defeat in their last match after back to back wins that put them on track.
The Sixers made one change to their squad with Lloyd Pope replacing Justin Avendano who suffered an injury in the warm-up. Renegades have made a change to their squad with Kane Richardson coming in for Jon Holland. Richardson missed the last two matches due to hamstring soreness. Jon Holland will be part of the Cricket Australia XI for the tour match against Sri Lanka starting on Thursday.

Injury and Availability Updates after the announcement of the squads:
(Will be added when there is an update)
Power Picks:
Sam Harper is the leading run-getter for the Renegades in 2018/19 Big Bash League. The keeper-batsman has scored 189 runs from eight innings thus far at an average of 27 and a batting strike-rate of 137.95. He has five scores over 25 from eight innings. Harper will be crucial player for the Renegades while batting in top three.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Moises Henriques has got into form lately and is expected to take the Sixers forward with his batting in the coming matches. Sam Harper is easily the best batsman for the Renegades in this season. The duo will be ideal for the captain and vice-captain roles. The likes of Tom Curran, Daniel Christian and Mohammad Nabi can be considered as alternatives.

Expert Advice:
A gamble has to be taken with respect to Mohammad Nabi who has been an underperformer this season. The Afghanistan all-rounder has scored 134 runs from seven innings and is the 2nd leading run-getter for the Renegades. However, he has scored most of them in initial games. He hasn’t done much with the ball either by taking only two wickets.
Probable Winners:
Sydney Sixers are expected to bounce back with their 2nd win of the season against the Melbourne Renegades.
