We got an extremely exciting clash on our hands as the Sydney Sixers who have recorded losses in their first 2 fixtures and will be gunning for vengeance as they battle it out against the Adelaide Strikers who recorded their first win in the Big Bash League (BBL) by a massive margin of 43 runs against the Sydney Thunder on the back of an impressive BBL debut performance by Afghanistan based teenage sensation Rashid Khan.

The last-season finalists will be thirsty for revenge after recording humiliating losses in their first couple of fixtures and will be eager to put their best performance on the show in front of their home crowd.

Sydney Sixers

The Sydney Sixers have so far failed to deliver a convincing performance in any of their 2 games as a unit in spite of their best efforts. Sean Abbott and Sams have been the lone crusaders for the Sixers with the ball whereas the batting lineup has simply failed to register a defend-able score for the bowlers.

Openers Roy and Harris have been extremely lacklustre with the willow and will be eager to set things right against the Strikers. Fellow Englishman Sam Billings has also been a pale shadow of what he is capable of with captain Henriques having failed to deliver a performance befitting the captain of a team so far.

Adelaide Strikers

The Strikers’ investment in Rashid Khan as an overseas signing seems to be paying off extremely well considering his man-of-the-match performance on his debut against the Sydney Thunder. Paceman Ben Laughlin also swooped 4 wickets while the opposition was unable to handle the pace and bounce he generated.

Captain Travis Head will be expecting his bowling attack to keep firing on all cinders against the Sixers and also enjoy some fine performances from the likes of Weatherald, Ingram and Wells who failed to record a suitable knock in the first clash.
