The Bangladesh Cricket Board head Nazmul Hassan will be coming back to India in order to witness the deciding third T20I match between India and Bangladesh to be played in Nagpur on Sunday, November 10. He will be there to cheer up the Tigers who will be looking to create history by winning the match and the series.

Hassan mentioned that he will be hoping to bring the trophy back home and also feels that prayers of 16 crore Bangladeshis will come true and Tigers beat India for the first time in T20I series. However, more than this, Hassan has another big agenda on his mind as he will meet the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.

Nazmul Hassan to talk about Indian players participating in BPL

Nazmul Hassan will meet Sourav Ganguly on November 9, just a day ahead of the third T20I final showdown. The two will discuss the possibilities of Indian players participating in the Bangladesh Premier League, despite BCCI’s policy of not allowing their players to play in the T20 leagues outside India. Also, on cards is the involvement of Indian players in Asia XI against World XI.

This match is scheduled next month in order to acknowledge the birth anniversary of the father of Bengali nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. “There are some important topics and also some specific players that needed to be discussed with Ganguly. They don’t permit their players to go outside India, so I will discuss this fact that whether we can bring some Indian players this time in BPL. If we are able to do this, it will be best for BPL,” BCB chief was quoted as saying by BD Crictime.

This is because the majority of Pakistani players won’t be participating in this year’s BPL due to their involvement in other tournaments for the national team, Hassan wants some Indian players to come and play in order to bring some excitement into the league and make it more entertaining.

“Pakistan players won’t be able to come because at that time there will be another tournament for them. So we have to depend on the players of Bangladesh, India, and Afghanistan. Some spinners from Afghanistan will surely play but to arrange a good team, Indian players are needed obviously,” he added.
