The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CEO Rahul Johri and the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) initiated the process for the interview for the post of General Manager (cricketer operations) in Mumbai. The interview was scheduled for Friday but the date was changed by CoA chief Vinod Rai as he has other commitments lined up.

Regarding the job vacancy BCCI earlier advertised after MV Sridhar resigned from the post citing illness. Among big names who applied for the post are former Indian paceman Venkatesh Prasad and former opener WV Raman. It was learnt that Prasad was interviewed by a BCCI panel at the Trident Hotel on Thursday afternoon. He was the first person to be interviewed and other applicants were also called up after him.

Applicants are interviewed by BCCI for director of NCA

One of the panel members who are in charge of the appointment revealed that the process would continue for at least a month, and the new general manager will join the office before the end of this year.

It was also learnt that a few candidates were also interviewed for the posts of National Cricket Academy (NCA) director and marketing manager.

At the same time, it was also reported that the CoA is making a few changes to the draft constitution, which has already been filled before the Supreme Court. The hearing at the apex court didn’t take place on October 30, now it is expected that the changes will be approved before the next hearing, which is scheduled for November 29. A revised version is likely to be submitted.
