BCCI spends more than 100 crores on player welfare measures

Keeping up with their system of sharing financials, the BCCI recently shared the costs incurred by the board for player welfare measures. The player welfare measures include a one-time payment to the players who have represented the country at the international stage.
The report shows that approximately 1.5 crores is paid to the players who have played more than 100 Test matches for India. This list includes the likes of Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar. A fee of 1 crore rupees is paid to those who have played between 75 to 99 matches. Current Indian ODI skipper MS Dhoni will be one of the most prominent names to feature on this list.
A fee of Rs. 75 Lakh has been paid to those players who have played between 50 to 74 Tests for India. Ishant Sharma remains to be the only current player to feature on this list. Former India wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani, India team director Ravi Shastri and Bishan Singh Bedi feature on this list. Cricketers who have featured in 25 to 49 Tests have received Rs. 50 Lakh each. Current captain Virat Kohli and opener Murali Vijay feature on the list along with the likes of Madan Lal, Yuvraj Singh and Manoj Prabhakar.
For the players who have played between 10 and 24 matches have received Rs. 35 Lakh. This payout also includes players who have represented India in Test matches before 1970. Thus, this list not only includes players who are playing in the current side, but also the likes of Ajit Wadekar and SP Gupte.
The players who have played in excess of 100 first-class matches have received a payout of Rs. 30 Lakh. These players include Amol Mazumdar and Wasim Jaffer. Those who have played between 75 and 99 first class matches are eligible for a payout of Rs. 25 Lakh. Thus, an approximate figure of Rs. 115 crores have been on the welfare measures for the Indian players by the BCCI.
