BCCI to host the first ever conclave at Dharamsala

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to host the first ever conclave at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala from 21st of July to 24th July. The conclave will have a series of discussions, meetings, and workshops.

Conclave, the private meeting will start with a workshop for media managers for all state cricket associations followed by conferences of coaches and captains, IPL Governing Council, Junior Committee and Affiliation Committee meeting.

BCCI President Anurag Thakur said: “This is the first time BCCI is hosting a four-day long conclave that aims at getting all stakeholders at one place and align everyone’s thoughts for improvement of the sport.”

The main objective of the conclave is to discover new ways to develop the biggest domestic cricket season and ways to take Indian Premier League (IPL) to the next level. Each and every stakeholder will get an opportunity to express one’s views and opinions on how the sport can be improved.

Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, Ajay Shirke believes that this is probably the best time to conduct the conclave as India is about to start the most exciting season. He said – “Timing of this Conclave couldn’t have been better. We are about to step into one of the most exciting cricket season and this is a perfect opportunity to bring everyone under one roof and discuss ideas and how to implement them.”
