Talking about the ODI format of the Asia Cup, there have been several instances where the bowlers have dismantled the batting attack of their opponents. The best-ever bowling figures recorded in the ODI Asia Cup, came back in the 2008 Asia Cup final, when Ajantha Mendis took six wickets and conceded just 13 runs against India. The second-best bowling figures were recorded in the 2023 Asia Cup final, when Mohammed Siraj took six wickets for 21 runs against Sri Lanka.
Furthermore, there have been many bowlers who registered fabulous numbers in the ODI Asia Cup. Aaqib Javed in 1995 against India (5/19), Arshad Ayub in 1988 against Pakistan (5/21); and many more.
On the other hand, the T20I format of the Asia Cup has also produced many sensational bowling performances over the years. Veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar currently holds the record for the best bowling figures in the T20I format of the Asia Cup. When India took on Afghanistan in the T20I Asia Cup in 2022, Kumar took a fifer and conceded just four runs in the process.
