Philip Salt is a Welsh cricketer who represents the Lancashire County team. He is a right-handed batter who can also give a few overs if any bowler faces a bad day. He has a good amount of experience playing in different T20 leagues in franchise cricket.

The 25-year-old was named in the ODI squad in the series against Pakistan. He played three ODIs and scored 104 runs with a fifty included in it. He looked sound and was promising that he can have a good career in international cricket.

He was previously been named in English squads for different series but he was waiting for his chance. The Lancashire batter has a record in domestic and T20 careers. With England struggling to find a decent opening pair, he can be a good option to fill that position.
