In the ongoing Blind World Cup 2018, a dominant India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets to set up a title clash with arch-rivals Pakistan today. India beat Bangladesh in the semi-finals after a special century from Ganeshbhai Muhudkar where he scored 112 off 69 balls at Eden Garden Cricket Ground in Ajman, United Arab Emirates.

He was named the Man of the Match for his performance. Earlier in the day, Bangladesh had won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 256 all out in 38.5 overs. Defending champions India will face Pakistan on January 20 at Sharjah.

Bangladesh had a faulty start as they lost two early wickets with less than 50 runs on the board. For Bangladesh, a resilient unbeaten 108 by Abdul Mallik was the highlight. However, India’s strong bowling restricted them to a modest score as Durga Rao took 3 wickets in 3 overs by conceding only 20 runs. Deepak Mallik and Prakash bagged two wickets each.

Another star player Deepak Mallik was retired out for 53 off 43 balls. While Naresh made a handy 40 runs in 18 balls. Pakistan, on the other hand, qualified for the final of the Blind Cricket World Cup after defeating Sri Lanka on Wednesday. Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 156 runs in the semi-final of the tournament played in Ajman too. Batting first, Pakistan scored a massive total of 489.

The Lankan side failed to chase this target and scored 333 with seven wickets down in the allotted 40 overs.

India who are defending champions will have an upper hand in the final clash because they remain unbeaten in the tournament and had also defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in their recent match on January 13.
