After covering the real Indian Premier League auction for years, CricTracker now presents a mock IPL Auction at Tryst’19 hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. It is a real-time mock IPL Auction event in which every team gets a fixed amount of virtual money to bid on international T20 Players. After thorough analysis, they will need to strategise which players they need to bid more money on.

Number of participants
- Each team can have 3-5 team members.
- The participants should hold a valid College Identity Card.
- Students from different colleges can team up.
- Only those participants who are below the age of 22 are eligible for prizes.
Rules:
- Every team gets x rupees initially.
- Once the auction starts we will be displaying the stats of every player in international T20 Cricket. For example: No. of matches played (Experience), Average runs scored (Consistency), Strike Rate (Important for T20 Format), etc.
- We will be normalising the stats for a complete set of players and then we will have a secret formula to give points to each player on the basis of stats.
- There will be some base price for each player and all the teams will be bidding on them similar to what happens in the actual auction.
- After every 30-40 players auctioned we will be displaying the leaderboard which will then be analysed by the teams to know where there are going wrong and on which players they should spend more money on.
- The auction will be completely digitalised.
- Every team will be given a fixed amount of virtual money at the start of the game.
- This virtual money is used to buy the players in the auction.
- Auction players will be displayed on the spot.
