After Andre Russell’s black bat, it is now Carlos Brathwaite who has decided to use a green bat, something he will use to brandish the bowlers as well. The colored bats manufactured by Spartan ahs also seen the crowds go wild as these bats have been quite impressive in terms of adding color and flavor in the grand scheme of things.

The Sunday Morning Herald in Australia went on to speak about the manner in which the crowds reacted each time they saw a colored bat. In spite of these bats being used even by Aiden Blizzard, an Australian in the CPL, the BBL committee had banned the bat used by Andre Russell in recent times as well. In addition, the fact of the matter remains that the bat was then allowed to be used by Russell in the following matches before his unfortunate injury that ruled him out of the BBL.

“Russell brought the black bat and I’m just trying to bring some Caribbean flair and have a green bat,” Brathwaite was quoted as saying by The Sydney Morning Herald. “The crowds enjoy the color, the crowds enjoy the dancing, we play for them. Once they’re happy and if we perform and we win, it’s happy days, cricket is a winner.” In 2015, Chris Gayle had got a golden bat from himself during the Melbourne Renegades’ fixture against Brisbane Heat.

However, Carlos Brathwaite and his bat carry an important significance as well given the fact that he plays for the Sydney Thunder in the BBL, a team that predominantly dons the green stripes.
