The 2021 edition of the Central Europe Cup T20 will feature Czech Republic, Luxembourg, and Austria. All the sides will cross swords against each other twice, and the table-topper will be crowned champions. The three-day-long tournament will be played between May 21 and May 23 at the Vinor Cricket Ground in Prague.

It’s indeed a great chance for all three teams to win this series and take a step forward in world cricket. None of the three teams have played international cricket in a long time, and coming together would be a challenge for them. However, many Czech Republic and Austrian cricketers featured in the recently-concluded European Cricket Series (ECS). Hence, one can expect a close battle between these two sides.

Not to forget, the Czech Republic also have the home advantage in their favour which could be handy. At the same time, Luxembourg are underdogs for the competition, and it would be interesting to see if they can pull off an upset.

Notably, Czech Republic are the defending champions of the tournament, having won the competition in 2019 and the 2020 edition getting cancelled. While the hosts would be determined to retain the title, Luxembourg and Austria will combat for their maiden glory.
