Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is one of the most explosive hitters of all-time. The memory of the swashbuckling batsman hammering the ball for a six off six consecutive balls in an over is etched in the minds of all the cricket enthusiasts. Yuvraj had achieved this remarkable feat of smashing England pacer Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over during a group game in the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa.

This unique record made by the former Indian cricketer is untouched to date as no cricketer in T20 international cricket has done it again. However, West Indies hard-hitter opening batsman Chris Gayle believes that it is very much possible to hit six sixes off six consecutive balls and he can achieve this feat in the near future.

“It’s very much possible to hit sixes. So, if six is possible and Yuvraj has done it before so why can’t I do it. Yes, you, I anybody can do that,” Chris Gayle said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Yuvi boss is always a stiff competitor for everyone here: Chris Gayle

Gayle is confident about recreating this record made by Yuvraj Singh in the brand-new gladiatorial Cricket series ‘Ultimate Kricket Challenge (UKC)’, launched by Star Sports. The unique star-studded event will feature superstars like Gayle, Yuvraj, Kevin Pietersen, Andre Russell and Rashid Khan. UKC is a different format as it shortens the game into 4 innings of 15 balls each, where each UKC gladiator will go head-to-head.

Further in the interaction, the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) opening batter Gayle hailed the 2011 World Cup-winning all-rounder as stiff competition and a big name in the international circuit. The West Indies Star also believes that it is fun playing against Yuvraj.

“Yuvi boss is always a stiff competitor for everyone here. So, the name is already big and strong in the media. So once a year you go up against Chris Gayle, it’s a different story. I’m sure it actually switched on, even more, when they played against the universe because it wants to beat the universe myself,” Chris Gayle concluded.
