Chris Jordan is currently contracted to the Peshawar Zalmi and has been gaining experience in T20 and ODI cricket across the world. Having been predominantly used in the red-ball cricket formats for England, this would not be the worst idea in the world. However, in his most recent stint with the Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL, Jordan reckons that this tournament is perhaps one of the most competitive in the world at the moment. The closeness of the tournament is perhaps what makes it that way.

Speaking to geo.tv, he said: “though you only have one team which doesn’t qualify it sounds simple but because the teams are quite strong, it actually is very difficult. Throughout the tournament, the competition has been very close.”

Jordan also went ahead and spoke about the manner in which the players and the officials have been welcoming. However, he did not comment when asked about whether or not he would make it for the PSL final in Lahore. “Everyone has been welcoming. We are lucky that Zalmi fans are coming in numbers. Last couple of games we have played good cricket and hopefully there is more to come.”

“It’s a brilliant environment – credit to Sammy, Shahid Afridi. We have a very relaxed environment in our dressing room as we are trying to enjoy each other`s success,” he said.

While Jordan has been making waves in the Pakistan Super League in recent times, he was also picked up for seemingly big bucks in the Indian Premier League by the Sunrisers Hyderabad. This would also mean that he is now one of the few blokes who had been released by his previous franchise the Royal Challengers Bangalore following the close of the first season.
