Hard hitting New Zealand batsman Colin Munro had certainly become a household name a few days ago when he smashed his second T20I ton in the match against India at Rajkot. The shortest format of the game offers very little time to the batsmen to score big runs. Also, it is very tough to stay at the crease whilst trying to smack each and every delivery.

While most players struggle to even get close to the 100-run mark, there stands this gentleman named Colin Munro, who has two T20I tons to his name now. Recently, after a decent outing in India, Munro took to micro blogging site Twitter to thank the Indians for their hospitality. He called it an ‘amazing’ experience in the country.

He mentioned that he loved the food, the fans, and the cricket during his stay in India. Also, he added that he is looking forward to the action packed home summer. New Zealand will soon be seen hosting the Windies in their next assignment.

Here is the tweet

“India you habe been amazing, the food, fans and the cricket. Heading home now for an action packed summer, till next time thank you,” tweeted Colin Munro.

Talking about the series, the Kiwis started off on a brisk note by stunning the hosts in the first ODI at Mumbai. Colin Munro was seen opening the batting for the Kiwis for the first time in international cricket. The men in blue bounced back to win the next two games and seal the ODI series 2-1.

In the T20Is, India won the Delhi game with ease. At Rajkot, they were blown away by Munro’s whirlwind 54-ball ton. In the final game, the hosts prevailed by 6 runs at Trivandrum in the rain curtailed game of 8-overs per side and eventually register a 2-1 win. Munro failed to give his team a fiery start in the final game, which certainly hurt the Kiwis.
