South Africa will continue their ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 campaign by taking on Nepal. Both sides will lock horns in game 31 of the tournament at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St. Vincent, on Saturday, June 15. It is worth noting that South Africa is currently unbeaten in the tournament. With three wins in three games, the Proteas have been in brilliant form, and they will aim to continue the same form.

In the last three matches, South Africa has had similar lineups, and it could be the case once again when they take on Nepal.

Here is the Predicted SA XI for Match 31 against NEP:

Openers: Reeza Hendricks, Quinton de Kock (wk)

Quinton de Kock

South Africa will look to open their innings with the duo of Reeza Hendricks and veteran Quinton de Kock. In the Proteas’ last game against Bangladesh, Reeza Hendrick failed to go big as the star batter was sent packing on a golden duck. However, he will aim to make sure that the same is not the case in the upcoming game against Nepal.

Quinton de Kock is expected to be the batting partner of Reeza Hendricks. De Kock scored 18 runs in 11 deliveries in his last game, and looked to be in good flow before he was sent packing. He will hope for a improved showing in the upcoming game.

Middle order: Aiden Markram (c), Tristan Stubbs, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller

Aiden Markram and David Miller

South Africa’s middle order is where the team will look to shine. Skipper Aiden Markram will look to lead from the front. In his last game, Markram failed to make any impact as he was dismissed for just four runs.

Tristan Stubbs could feature for the Proteas once again, despite him getting out for a duck in his previous game. Everyone knows what Stubbs is capable of, and he will aim to get back in form with the clash against Nepal.

Heinrich Klaasen was the best batter for his side in the previous game, scoring 46 runs in 44 deliveries, Klaasen helped the Proteas reach a respectable total against Bangladesh and eventually win the game.

David Miller had a good outing for South Africa in the previous game, scoring 29 runs in 38 deliveries, Miller helped the Proteas reach a defendable total as well, and he will aim to put in a similar showing in the upcoming clash.

All-rounder: Marco Jansen

Marco Jansen & Temba Bavuma

South Africa’s only all-rounder in the game against Nepal could be Marco Jansen. Staying unbeaten on a score of five runs, Jansen bowled his complete spell of four overs, where he failed to take any wickets but conceded just 17 runs and limited Bangladesh to a subpar score.

Bowlers: Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Ottneil Baartman

Keshav Maharaj

South Africa’s bowling attack has been in impeccable form throughout the 2024 T20 World Cup. Kehsav Maharaj could be the specialist spinner in the side, with three wickets in four overs, Maharaj conceded 27 runs to his name and was one of the best bowlers in the game. His spell could be crucial to the Proteas’ success in the tournament.

Kagiso Rabada would be one player in the playing XI who needs no introduction. The 29-year-old will be the spearhead for the Proteas’ bowling attack once again. In his previous game, Rabada took two wickets and conceded just 19 runs in the process.

Anrich Nortje could be another star in South Africa’s lineup. With two wickets in four overs, Nortje conceded just 17 overs throughout his spell, and he will look to continue his form against Nepal as well. Furthermore, Ottneil Baartman could be the final addition to South Africa’s lineup against Nepal. Baartman failed to take any wickets in his last game, where he conceded 27 runs in four overs.
