All-rounder Sonal Dinusha was one of the top performers with the bat for Sri Lanka, scoring a brilliant century. The southpaw looked in complete control against the Indian spinners and would once again be put in a prime position to take on the bowlers, and especially keep Manav Suthar at bay.

The left-arm spinner's exceptional performance in the first Test, where he claimed 10 wickets in the match, has established him as a key threat for India's bowling attack. His ability to take wickets consistently will be tested against Sri Lanka's batting lineup as the series progresses. Suthar's performance in the opening Test has made him central to India's bowling strategy for the remainder of the series.
