2025 was a remarkable year in international cricket, as fans around the world got to see their favourite batters in action, scoring truckloads of runs. A bunch of cricketers, whether from giant cricketing nations or rising stars, impressed by putting the best of their skills up on display. As we wind up on 2025 and embark on a new journey to welcome a mouthwatering year of cricket in 2026, CricTracker has a look at some of the finest batters from the departing year, who scored the most number of three-figure scores across formats. Some are youngsters, with a huge potential, while some names have established themselves over the last decade or so. Here are the batters with most international centuries in 2025 5. Pathum Nissanka and Rachin Ravindra (4 hundreds each) Pathum Nissanka. (Photo source: Getty Images) Sri Lanka opening batter Pathum Nissanka looked in great form across formats in 2025. He accounted for four hundreds in the calendar year, while taking only 34 matches to do so. Nissanka scored 1414 runs in 2025 at an impressive average of 40.40. He scored a couple of centuries in Tests, with one coming against India during the T20 Asia Cup. The right-handed batter also had a century in One-Day Internationals, which came against Zimbabwe. New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra bats at the top of the order, and was a regular feature for the BlackCaps throughout the year. His first hundred of the year came against Bangladesh during the Champions Trophy. In the semi-finals of the same event against South Africa, Rachin continued his form for his second ton of the year. The rest of his centuries came in Tests — one each against Zimbabwe and the West Indies. 4. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tom Latham (4 hundreds each) Yashasvi Jaiswal. The BlackCaps wicketkeeper-batter scored 792 runs in 19 matches across ODIs and Tests in 2025, and had three centuries in red-ball cricket. His only century in the 50-over format came against Pakistan during the Tri-Nation series in the tournament-opening clash of the Champions Trophy. Yashasvi Jaiswal had a dream run in 2025, as he kept bettering his cricket and range of strokes to mark an end to an impressive year with the bat. Apart from the three centuries in Tests - two vs England and one vs the West Indies, the Mumbai batter finally got to prove himself in ODIs, scoring his maiden hundred in 50-over internationals. He had replaced injured Shubman Gill as an opener during the series against South Africa and made full use of the chance, ending the year on a high. 3. Shai Hope (5 hundreds) Shai Hope. (Photo source: X) Shai Hope is arguably the best batters from West Indies currently, and has slowly cemented his name as an all-format player for the Caribbean side. In 2025, he had an unforgettable campaign in international cricket, scoring a staggering 1760 runs in just 40 outings. He didn’t have a single three-digit score in the first half of the year, but July brought him some luck with his unbeaten 102 in the T20I against Australia. Hope then carried his form into the longer formats as well, scoring two more hundreds in ODIs and a solitary ton in red-ball that came against New Zealand. To add to his tally, the Barbados-born also scored nine half-centuries in the year, and will now be hoping to carry forward the form into the next year as well. 2. The Punjab cricketer played all his games batting at No. 4 — and had a dream run during the five-match series against England, where he was the highest run-getter and scored four centuries as well. By the end of the series, Gill almost broke legendary Sunil Gavaskar's record of most runs in a single series, but missed by a little. He scored another century against West Indies in the second Test at New Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, playing in his first series at home as the Indian red-ball skipper. His two ODI centuries came in early 2025 — one each against England and Bangladesh. He will be looking to build on similar form and take his career to greater heights in 2025 as well. 1. The Yorkshire cricketer featured 25 international fixtures this year, and made most of them worth remembering. He had five half-centuries, but what made the year truly outstanding was his seven hundreds, coming across formats for the Three Lions. He scored 1613 runs at an average of 53.76 in 2025.
