On June 18, 1983, Kapil Dev made history with an unbeaten 175 against Zimbabwe, a knock that saved India from falling out of the World Cup before they eventually won the historic title. Coming into bat at a score of 17/5, Kapil played a counterattacking innings using the Mongoose bat. His knock included 16 boundaries and six sixes. That bat, with its unique design, helped Kapil clear the ropes with ease and changed the momentum of the match. His 126-run unbroken stand with Syed Kirmani pushed India to 266/8, securing an important win.
