3 Indian players who could be dropped from the next ODI squad
India won the West Indies ODI series 2-1, but some players may not make the cut for the New Zealand tour.
3. Auqib Nabi
Auqib Nabi, the right-arm medium-pace bowler from Jammu and Kashmir, received his maiden ODI call-up for the West Indies series. He had previously been named in India's Test squad for the Sri Lanka tour in August 2026 without making his Test debut on that trip. Nabi was handed his ODI cap in the second match at Guwahati on September 30 but could not pick up a wicket on debut.
The West Indies squad also featured Mohammed Siraj and Gurnoor Brar as pace options, and with Jasprit Bumrah expected to return after the Asian Games, Nabi may struggle to hold his place in the New Zealand touring party.
