The left-handed batter Abhishek Sharma has emerged as a strong contender to be one of the future faces of the Indian cricket team. He has played 17 T20I matches so far, scoring two centuries and scoring his runs at a staggering strike rate of 193.84. His consistent performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL), particularly in the 2022 and 2024 seasons as an opener played a key role in earning him a spot in the national squad.

The Punjab-born cricketer’s first-class career has also been impressive and his explosive power-hitting at the top of the order has often laid a solid foundation for his teams. He is especially valuable in white-ball formats and has the potential to become the next poster boy of Indian cricket.
