2. India could look to add a right-hander to a left-hand-heavy batting line-up
India’s current batting combination has a strong presence of left-handers. Apart from Shreyas Iyer, the middle order does not have a specialist right-handed batter, which could become a concern against certain match-ups. With that in mind, the team management could consider bringing in a right-hander such as Rajat Patidar if he continues to perform consistently.
Having a better mix of left- and right-handed batters could also make it difficult for opposition bowlers to settle into a particular line and length. India have several options waiting in the wings, and the management could be tempted to make a change if the current combination fails to produce the desired results.
