1. Shweta Sehrawat (UP Warriorz)
Shweta Sehrawat's release by UP Warriorz was another notable development ahead of the WPL 2027 Auction. The young batter was the only player retained by the franchise ahead of the 2026 mega auction, making her release a particularly surprising decision.
Sehrawat has scored 307 runs in 26 innings for UP Warriorz in the WPL. However, she has not been able to establish herself as a regular contributor in the franchise's playing XI. The Warriorz have now decided to make changes to their squad and have released Sehrawat along with several other players, including experienced names such as Asha Sobhana and Deandra Dottin.
