John Wright - Sourav Ganguly

John Wright became the first foreign coach of India and found the perfect partner in Sourav Ganguly. From 2000 to 2005, they transformed India from home-track bullies to a formidable Test side abroad. Their notable achievements include a 2-1 home series win over Australia (2001), a 1-1 Test series draw in Australia (2003–04), a landmark series win in Pakistan, and a memorable run to the 2003 World Cup final.
Wright and Ganguly created a fearless Indian team and nurtured young talents like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, and Harbhajan Singh. Their partnership laid the foundation for India’s future dominance in Test cricket.
