3. Pathum Nissanka: Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's opening batter Pathum Nissanka’s dominance in international cricket is a reflection of his fitness. From a young age, Nissanka has had a strong work ethic that has made him the cricketer he is today. While he has suffered from numerous back injuries, he continues to put in long hours of training and strength-building to stay match-ready.
The three-format player can play long innings in Tests and also shift gears in T20s. After being dropped from ODIs in 2021, he doubled his training, sometimes batting three to four times a day, focusing on shot improvement and power-hitting. He also extended his time in the gym and is the fittest cricketer on his team.
