Complete list of Pakistan’s 200+ run losses in ODIs
Pakistan's recent 202-run defeat against West Indies in the third ODI came as a big dent to their legacy.
2. Lost by 224 runs (vs Australia Nairobi, 2002)
The second match of the tri-series in 2002, saw Pakistan square off against the mighty Australian side, and the then two-time world champions batted first. In an innings which comprised 35 extras, 146 of Australia's 332 on the board was courtesy of Matthew Hayden. Ricky Ponting also notched up a crucial half-century, as Pakistani bowlers had very little to show on a flat Nairobi track.
When it came to the chase, the start for the Waqar Younis-led side was horrendous to say the least. In just the seventh over of the second innings, the Men in Green were teetering at 13-4. A stunning bowling display by Jason Gillespie (5/22 in 10 overs) helped skittle Pakistan for 108 in 36 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Rashid Latif was left unbeaten on 17 off 42. This loss hurt the side badly, as it was their biggest defeat of the time, an unfortunate record that was broken later.
