2. Sachin Tendulkar:
Sachin Tendulkarās historic ODI double century at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior not only registered his name in history books, but also in the city itself. Following his unbeaten 200 against South Africa at the Roop Singh Stadium, the Madhya Pradesh government decided to honour him by naming the City Centre-Hurawali Road after the batting stalwart.
The then chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had made the announcement, with Gwalior Collector Akash Tripathi confirming the decision. Additionally, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, also President of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, declared that a pavilion at the stadium would carry Tendulkarās name. Meanwhile, there is also Tendulkar Drive in Melbourneās City of Melton.
