ENG vs IND 2025: Top three leading wicket-takers in Test series
Let us take a look at the top three wicket-takers from the series.
2. Josh Tongue (19 wickets in six innings)
Despite being relatively new to the red-ball setup, Josh Tongue displayed his prowess to compete against a high-quality Indian opposition. England registered a five-wicket win in the first game at Headingley on the back of his match figures of 7/158 (4/86 in 20 overs and 3/72 in 18 overs).
Despite picking up two wickets each in both the innings at Edgbaston, it was not Tongue's best outings with the ball. He was sidelined from the third and fourth Tests, when he took part in a County Championship game for Nottinghamshire. The final game of the series saw Tongue's best performance (8/182 in 46 overs), however, it came in a lost cause.
