The talismanic Virat Kohli finished the series with 10 sixes, the second-highest tally among all players. His most destructive display came in the 1st ODI at Thiruvananthapuram, where he scored an unbeaten 139 off 88 balls, hitting 9 sixes and 10 fours. That innings included a notable moment as Kohli brought up his record-extending 55th ODI hundred with a six.
The 9 sixes in that innings was also his highest count in a single ODI innings. He added 1 more six in the 2nd ODI at Guwahati to take his series total to 10. He was unable to contribute in the third ODI, being dismissed for a first-ball duck, but his exploits from the first game puts him on the podium.
