4. Tymal Mills

Tymal Mills has been a prominent figure in the T20 circuit. The left-arm pacer is known for his death-bowling prowess and has proven his mettle in T20 leagues around the world. The 30-year-old has featured in 172 matches and bagged 198 scalps at an economy of 8.04. He was roped in by Mumbai Indians to partner Jasprit Bumrah at the fag end of the innings.

However, Mills was far from his best and could not deliver the goods with the ball. The England seamer played five games for MI and took six wickets leaking runs at an economy of 11.18. Following his awful outings, the Mumbai franchise sidelined him from the team. Then the ace pacer suffered an ankle injury which, ruled him out of the rest of the tournament.

Post a mediocre IPL 2022 campaign, Mills has failed to break into England’s playing XI in the majority of the T20Is. The Yorkshire-born got a chance to showcase his bowling might but he conceded 35 runs in three overs. As the form has not been on Mills’ side, one can argue that it was not a smart move from him to keep his base price at INR 2 crore for the IPL 2023 auction.
