We have come to the halfway stage of the Indian Premier League 2023. All teams have settled in. Six teams have got at least four wins under their belt. All are in title contention. Though, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals have a hard task ahead as they struggle on the bottom half.

During the fourth week, teams breached the 200-run mark five teams, which speaks volumes about the high-scoring matches we're witnessing this season. There have been some individual batting performances that blew our minds as the players tried and gave their best to get their team over the line.

We have accumulated five performances that not only have been eye-catching but also had an impact on the outcome. We have 3 foreigners and 2 Indians making the list, eventhough there were more than five as special mentions to Abhinav Manohar (vs MI), Hardik Pandya (vs LSG), and Jitesh Sharma (vs MI)

Here are the top five batting performances from Week 4 of IPL 2023:

5) Yashasvi Jaiswal 77 vs CSK

Yashasvi Jaiswal played one of his best IPL innings against CSK at Jaipur in the reverse fixture. The context of the game was really high as his franchise Rajasthan Royals had already lost two matches back to back. They needed to get back on the winning track, and Jaiswal stepped up to do the job. From the start, he set the tone along with his opening partner Jos Buttler.

He went after his old mate Akash Singh and played proper cricketing shots against him. He got lucky with some edges, but fortune favours the brave. After hitting him for three boundaries in the first over, Yashasvi hit him for three fours and a six in the third over of the match, taking the score to 42. Even CSK skipper MS Dhoni acknowledged this early damage to be one of the reasons behind their defeat.

Yashasvi came into IPL with the tag of child prodigy. Now, he has grown and developed into a proper T20 batter. He’s batting in such a way that Royals aren’t much concerned about Buttler's form that has deteriorated of late. The tall southpaw is strong both on backfoot and frontfoot. He’s much improved this season, who knows this can be a breakthrough innings for him.
