<p>The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has already witnessed some nail-biting finishes. The interest around this season was already high as it kick-started a new cycle after the mega-auction last year. Like every season, IPL 2025 has unearthed some exciting talents. The likes of Digvesh Rathi and Vipraj Nigam have shown that India's new generation of leg-spinners pack a punch.</p>
<p>Krunal Pandya and Sai Kishore's performances have proven that there is still a lot of value that finger spinners can add in the shortest format of the game. While veterans like Sunil Narine and Rashid Khan have not been among the wickets, young Noor Ahmad leads the Purple Cap list with 11 scalps from five games.&nbsp;</p>

The left-arm wrist spinner was roped in for his base price of INR 30 lakh in the mega-auction. Karn Sharma also joined at his base price of INR 50 lakh. Meanwhile, Mitchell Santner signed for INR 2 crore. Mumbai had acquired the services of young Afghanistan spinner AM Ghazanfar. However, he was ruled out due to injury and replaced by Mujeeb Ur Rahman for INR 2 crore.</p>

<p>Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are known for their attacking brand of cricket. Their home ground - Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium provides pitches which have very little assistance for bowlers. Spinners find it even more difficult to contain batters at this ground. It isn't a surprise that Hyderabad spent just INR 6 crore on their spin-bowling department in IPL 2025. The Orange Army have only three specialist spinners in their lineup - Rahul Chahar (INR 3.20 crore), Adam Zampa (INR 2.40 crore), and Zeeshan Ansari (INR 40 lakh).</p>

The other specialist spinner in their squad is Kumar Kartikeya, who was roped in at his base price of INR 30 lakh. Theekshana and Hasaranga have picked up six wickets each from five and three matches, respectively. Meanwhile, Kartikeya has only played two games, bagging one wicket at an average of 31.</p>

<p>Delhi Capitals (DC) spent INR 13.75 crore to bring in the spin-bowling duo of Kuldeep Yadav (INR 13.25 crore), Vipraj Nigam (INR 50 lakh). All-rounder Axar Patel, who was appointed as the captain of the franchise ahead of the season, was retained for INR 16.50 crore. However, he hasn't been taken into consideration while evaluating the money spent on spinners by DC. While Kuldeep has fared well, Nigam has been the surprise package, as his leg-spin bowling has bamboozled some top-class batters.</p>

They retained Ravi Bishnoi for INR 11 crore ahead of the auction. They went on to add Manimaran Siddharth (INR 75 lakh) and Digvesh Rathi (INR 30 lakh) in their lineup. Shahbaz Ahmed also joined the lineup for INR 2.30 crore. Rathi has been the surprise package for the Lucknow-based franchise, as he has picked up seven wickets from five games at an average of 22.14.</p>

Brar and Dubey are yet to get a game in IPL 2025. Meanwhile, Chahal has not been able to set the stage ablaze as yet.</p>

Shreyas Gopal (INR 30 lakh) is also in the squad as a backup and can be used when required.</p>
