One of the biggest bargains of the season was Sunrisers Hyderabad's acquisition of young pacer Sakib Hussain for just INR 30 lakh. The right-arm fast bowler exceeded expectations and became a vital component of SRH's bowling attack.

Hussain picked up 15 wickets in 11 matches and regularly delivered economical spells during the powerplay.
