IPL 2026 Auction: CSK's probable middle order, spin and pace targets
Let us take a look at how CSK should structure their auction strategy to assemble a formidable squad.
Spinners
Spin bowling has always been a strength for CSK, especially on the slower Chepauk surface. Currently, Noor Ahmad is their primary spinner, but relying on a single option may not be sufficient. West Indies left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein could serve as a reliable backup. Hosein played one match for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2023 and has since developed into a dependable T20 bowler.
Another strong option is Ravi Bishnoi, who has taken 72 wickets in the IPL. His attacking leg-spin and energetic style could blend well with CSK’s team culture and provide a match-winning edge in the middle overs.
