The South African batter Dewald Brevis was signed as a replacement for the 2025 season and has proven to be a long-term asset for the Chennai-based franchise. The 22-year-old is one of the most destructive batters in world cricket at the moment. Known to be a powerhouse with the bat, he can change the outcome of the game with his stellar batting.
He also had a stellar season for the five-time champions last year, where he scored 225 runs in just six innings, at an impressive strike rate of 180. Brevis’ attacking batting style is what sets him apart, and CSK would want him to have a breakthrough season this year.
