2. Finn Allen - New Zealand
Finn Allen comes into the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) with his stocks at an all-time high. The New Zealand batter is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous openers across the T20 circuit which makes it even more impressive that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured his signature at his base price of just INR 2 crore.
Allen is set to finally solve KKR’s opening woes from last year and slot into the role this season, replacing the void left behind by Phil Salt. The 26-year-old was the top-scorer at the 2025-26 Big Bash League, scoring 466 runs at a strike-rate of 184.18. He also had a great T20 World Cup where he amassed 298 runs, striking at 200.
