Heading into IPL 2026, choosing the most effective four overseas players will once again be crucial for PBKS as they look to build on their strong performances.
1. Marco Jansen
Arguably the most improved T20 player in the world is South Africa’s all-rounder Marco Jansen. Known for his quick bowling and wicket-taking ability with the ball, Jansen will be one of the most important players for the Punjab Kings. He had a stellar season with the ball in 2025, where he picked up 16 wickets in 14 matches for his side.
What makes him an even more special player is his ability with the bat. Since last year or so, he has upped his game with the bat and can score runs at a high strike rate. So, he will be Punjab Kings’ most important overseas player this season.
