IPL 2026: Punjab Kings' strongest predicted XI against Mumbai Indians
The Kings are coming into this clash on the back of four successive losses after going unbeaten in their opening seven games.
Middle order: Shreyas Iyer (capt), Shashank Singh (impact), Marcus Stoinis, Suryansh Shedge,
Skipper Shreyas Iyer has continued his brilliant form with the bat into IPL 2026. He has scored 392 runs at a strike rate of 164.02, with five half-centuries. The Kings will need him to continue his form with the bat. Shashank Singh has had a poor season with the bat after showing much promise as a back-end hitter over the last two seasons.
Marcus Stoinis has found a new lease of life as a finisher for the Punjab Kings after playing his trade in the top and middle order in the IPL. He has also chipped in with the ball on occasions and picked up a wicket each against the Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals. In Suryansh Shedge, the Kings have finally unleashed one of the most potent finishers in the domestic game. He scored a brilliant 57 against the Gujarat Titans and has stepped up with vital contributions at the back end of innings.
