2. Abdul Samad (Jammu and Kashmir)

Abdul Samad from J&K was the second-highest run-getter in the match. He scored 57 off 88 balls in J&K's first innings, hitting 5 fours and 1 six at a strike rate of 64.77, before being dismissed caught Sanat Sangwan off the bowling of Mukesh Kumar. Samad shared a 101-run fifth-wicket partnership with Paras Dogra during that innings, which was one of the more significant stands for J&K.

He managed 20 runs in his second innings, finishing the match with 77 runs from two innings at an average of 38.50 and a strike rate of 59.23. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, as his side, the defending champions of the Ranji Trophy, failed to chase the target set by Pant & Co., getting bundled out for a paltry score of 111 in reply.
