2. David Warner - 89 off 43 vs South Africa (2009)

David Warner hit his stride against South Africa when he took Makhaya Ntini for runs with a couple of sixes followed by a four. Two back-to-back aggressive shots which went for maximums in Dale Steyn's first over meant that he had gone past his fifty in just 19 deliveries.
Warner was all set to become the first T20I debutant to register a ton. However, his ferocious display came to an end in the 14th over. He had done enough to get a standing ovation by the jam-packed MCG crowd. Australia posted 182/9 at the end of their 20 overs and ended up winning the clash by 52 runs.
