The biggest cricket carnival has begun. The T20 World Cup 2022 has kick-started with the first round on October 16 and then the action will move to the Super 12 round on October 22. Aaron Finch & Co. are the defending champions heading into the competition and will aim at becoming the first team to successfully defend their T20 crown.

The tournament is being played in Australia which is considered a pacer's paradise and the seamers will have their say more often. Each team has some top-quality bowlers who can wreak havoc with their brute pace and a few of these seamers possess the goods to set the speed gun on fire.

Let us look at the bowlers who could bowl the fastest ball in the T20 World Cup 2022:

5. Lockie Ferguson

Lockie Ferguson has been a regular feature for New Zealand in white-ball cricket for the last couple of years. Talking about the T20Is, he has played 21 matches and taken 32 wickets at a superb economy of 6.84. The 31-year-old has a fiery pace and his inclusion adds another dimension to the Kiwi bowling attack.

Ferguson has been bowling with a lot of gas this year and the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League was a prime example of his bowling prowess. Playing for Gujarat Titans, he even clocked 157.3 kmph against Rajasthan Royals in the Finals which was the fastest delivery of the tournament.

The express pacer was New Zealand's X-factor in the 50-over World Cup in 2019 and picked 21 wickets in nine games. He can again deliver the goods for the Blackcaps at the global event and in the process can become the fastest bowler of the competition.
